Pining For The Fjords

New rock music from the past five years* ... a sequel to Beautiful Plumage.

Rock still ain’t dead, and there seems to be a growing turn-of-the-’90s vibe among Gen-Z bands; they must be raiding their parents’ record collections for more fodder for their hipster turntables, and discovering gold like Sonic Youth, Dinosaur Jr. and My Bloody Valentine. As a result there's even a shoegaze revival going on!

Specifically, Mo Dotti's "opaque" is absolutely the best album Lush never made, and julie’s "My Anti-Aircraft Friend" and preceding singles engulf the entirety of 1988–92 and make it new again. 🤘🏻 🎸 🥁 🤟🏻
